Cheryl & Eddie's Entry:
Cheryl and Eddie were nominated for the Dream Vacation Giveaway by their daughter Lauren. Married for almost twenty-five years, Cheryl and Eddie have "never really had a honeymoon." This March they had planned a trip to renew their wedding vows, but ultimately decided to cancel their travel plans in order to lend support to family members who have recently fallen on hard times. If they win, they will fulfill a lifelong dream of traveling to Italy.

From Lauren's Nomination:
"My parents have always been there for my siblings and I – and anyone else who has needed their help – no matter what they have to do. They have given up countless things to make life better for us. My dad has frequently worked more than one job to make sure we had everything we needed and always at least some of what we wanted. My mom has made many personal sacrifices. Right now they are helping to raise my niece and nephew because my sister needs their help. This is just what they do, what they've always done. They were young when they were married and never really had a honeymoon, but they've made sure my family had a good life. They just canceled their plans to renew their wedding vows because my dad is supporting three households. My siblings and I have never really been able to give them the thanks they deserve, but when I saw this contest I thought they might still be able to have a 25th wedding anniversary to remember, that they could finally enjoy a honeymoon together."
